Kaskazi Beach Hotel


Kaskazi Beach Hotel is a Four Star beach resort conveniently located in Kenya’s world famous South Coast on the Diani Beach line, and only a short walking distance from the beach area shopping centre, restaurants, and banks. The resort has been turning moments into memories for our guests for over 18 years. The resorts magnificent architechture (modeled after 5th century Sunni Arab palaces), coupled with the ingenious use of the landscape to create cascading ocean view terraces surrounded by hanging gardens makes it a one of a kind resort in all of the East African coast line

Other Activities

For sightseers and adventurers alike, guests will have ample “must do” activities such as swimming with wild dolphins at our neighbouring Wasini Island, visiting the ancient port city of Mombasa (Old Town) where one is taken back to a time long lost as the charming city retells its history through its ancient buildings, tiny streets laden with colourful shop fronts and restaurants, and of course, the famous remains of Fort Jesus. For those who want to explore the Diani Beach night life, take one of our resort’s taxi cabs to the famous Ali Barbour and The Fourty Thieves beach bar and dance club located only a five minutes drive from the resort. There you can dance under the stars and directly on the white sands of Diani Beach.

Diani Sea Lodge


The Diani Sea Lodge is situated on Diani Beach, 35 km south of the exotic port city of Mombasa. In the 40.000 sqm tropical garden with old trees existing in an Arab style. The bungalows are scattered in small groups. In the upper part of the garden bungalows are the caribou. The superior bungalows are larger and closer to the sea-Bahari gelegen.  Die izimmer bungalows have mostly sea view.

The lawn leads directly to the gently sloping, white, fine-grained sand beach. The warm water of the Indian Ocean is ideal for swimming.

 Accommodation & Room Types


The Hotel has a total of 162 Rooms which are divided into three groups:

The Karibuzimmer –  approximately. 21 sqm with shower, WC and air-conditioning and a covered terrace.

Superior rooms – approximately. 30 sq.m. the rooms are in bungalows.

Baharizimmer – approximately. 33 square meters, housed in a two storey building, provide additional equipment to the Superior room TV, minibar and balcony or terrace.

 In all categories, there are family rooms with an extra bedroom for 1 to 2 Children.



Breakfast and lunch are offered as a buffet in the dining room. Dinner is served in the dining room or on the terrace offers a themed buffet or barbeque. The all-inclusive bars serve between 11 Clock in the morning and midnight, local alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. International spirits and wines are available at an extra charge.

Sand Island Beach Cottages


We could tell you it’s exotic, exclusive, extraordinary. Out-of-this-world-exquisite. But we won’t. We’ll just tell you that Sand Island is probably the best beach in East Africa.

Sand Island Beach Cottages are situated in the South Coast Mombasa in Tiwi. It got its name after the ‘island’ that emerges at low tide a lagoon is formed leaving miles of ocean reef and pools.

Only 30 metres from the Indian Ocean, set back in the cooling shade of palm trees, the six self-catering cottages are fully equipped for the perfect beach holiday.


Accommodating from two to eight people, each cottage has its own private verandah an idyllic spot to savor the colors of a tropical sunrise or escape the heat of the mid-day sun. Linen towels and mosquito nets are all provided.

Dining & Staff

Delicious fish and seafood can be bought daily from local fishermen. Fresh fruit and juices of the season are available from Sand Island’s very own orchards. There is also the option of a cook and maid for your convenience.

The Sands at Nomad Hotel

Alfajiri Villas


Alfajiri is considered by many as one of the finest Villa on the Kenyan Coast. The house is owned and hosted by Fabrizio Molinaro and his wife Marika. After completing medical school in Italy, Fabrizio has spent the last 24 years in Kenya in the safari business and traveling the world. Marika was in the fashion business for many years and she is now an interior designer for some of Kenya’s most luxurious houses, The staffs speak English, French and Italian and are unobtrusive.

The theme is large glass windows, ivory Danish floors, wooden beams, Lamu doors and impressive African and Far Eastern Artefacts. Most of the furniture is made on the property and some is exported.


Beach Villa – 4 luxuriously appointed double bedrooms with their own bathroom: One of them overlooks the Indian Ocean, and the other the overflowing swimming pool. 2 additional rooms, under the makuti roof, would provide exciting accommodation for children only. All rooms have mosquito net, and 3 out of 4 rooms in the Beach Villa have full air conditioning. The 1st room on the 1st floor facing the sea can enjoy the wonderful sea breeze brought about by the Ocean but there is still a Fan available for those who may wish to use it.


Garden Villa – 8 guests can be accommodated in 4 large luxuriously appointed double bedrooms each with their own large bathrooms, all rooms overlook the Indian Ocean. The rooms are air-conditioned with split-level units and mosquito nets. All rooms have different interior decoration; the furniture and artefacts have been collected in different countries around the world.

Cliff Villa – 8 guests can be accommodated in 4 bedrooms all en-suite, dining room, kitchen, lounge and a large veranda overlooking the Indian Ocean. All rooms are air conditioned with mosquito nets. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms. (2 double rooms + 1 twin room + 1 triple). Guests at Alfajiri Cliff Villa have exclusive use of the property. No other guest, belonging to another group, will be booked at the same time.

Fresh seafood is brought daily to order from the beach and includes some of the best crab, prawns, lobsters, octopus and sea fish available. Our menus have a Mediterranean influence, olive oils, Parma ham and some cheeses are flown in weekly from Europe. The salads and fresh vegetables come daily from local farms and the fruit is handpicked from trees and bushes around Diani. The Molinaro’s will adapt menus to suit the guests. Wines: A choice of good quality South African and Italian wine available.

Maweni and Capricho Cottages


Maweni and Capricho Cottages range from One Bedroom to spacious Four Bedroom Cottages.  Some of the units are sea facing while others are built amidst attractive gardens of exotic flowering trees & shrubs. They are fully furnished & serviced.

Maweni and Capricho are enchanting beach cottages, with the elegance and romantic atmosphere of an African village, hence ideal for families and holidaymakers. Cottages are attractively sited in spacious grounds. Swimming and goggling is safe at all tides making it the perfect destination for people who prefer to enjoy a peaceful setting at their own pace listening to the sea waves and being woken up by birds singing

The secluded beach of Maweni & Capricho Cottages guarantees privacy & undisturbed sunbathing. The Shimba Hills game reserve & Mwalungaje Elephant Sanctuary are merely less than 20km from the cottages thus making them ideal for day trips. Fishing trips, diving, safaris & day excursions to Shimoni, Wasini & Kisite Marine Park can also be arranged.

Forest Dream Resort


Forest Dream Resort sits in a private subtropical forest, located at Diani Beach, Mombasa South coast Kenya. Standard room – In Swahili style

Flamboyant, modern and decorated in a Swahili style, the rooms are spacious and privately located to ensure a quiet night of sleep. Our standard rooms upstairs give the authentic African feeling while sleeping under the Makuti roof and enjoying the view of the tree tops while taking your shower. All our standard rooms have an extra shared (not exceeding more than 5 rooms) outside living area. From this spacious outside living area you can enjoy the view of the forest garden.


Each cottage is set in its own one acre forest garden giving our guests an exclusive and private accommodation. The cottages are designed in the beautiful Swahili style to embrace the forest and natural surroundings, making you feel you are one with nature. The large open living rooms let in the cool forest breeze and occasionally a curious monkey.

These spacious private cottages is our finest of large accommodations for family or travelling groups who wish to be together and enjoy their own privacy. The cottages are build in the flamboyant African Swahili style and sit in the midst of its own tropical garden from where you can enjoy the wildlife roaming around. The outside living area is spaciously set to give a 360° view of the forest surroundings.


The Villas are our most exclusive accommodation. Large and spaciously set in their own private one acre of forest garden. The suites within the villas are magnificently handcrafted in Swahili and African Arabic style. All equipped with the modern comforts expected in any 5-Star accommodation.

With a modern spacious honeymoon suite and two luxury rooms it offers our guests the most unique private stay. Its outdoor living area overlooks its own spacious garden and our main swimming pool.

A glasshouse air-conditioned living area allows our guests to sit in the midst of the forest while getting away from the heat. Under the African Baobab tree a private Jacuzzi sits in the garden to be enjoyed. Topped of with a koi (fish) pond, Japanese river and bridge.

Shimoni Reef Lodge


The Coral Islands and marine reserve around Shimoni are on our doorstep. The local fishing community and sport fishermen remain dynamic and the environment is full of healthy marine life. Miles of amazing diving and snorkeling inside Kisite Mpunguti marine reserve are just a boat ride away, where 95% of visits include seeing and swimming alongside dolphins, turtles, snappers, rays and many of the most amazing fish of the Indian Ocean.

The coral is alive with color in better condition than most reefs anywhere you will see in the world today. The Shimoni area also has an interesting and rich history and equally interesting flora and fauna.


Shimoni is full of amazing experiences. For 20 years we have served sport fisherman, scuba divers, snorkelers, dhow trippers, honeymooners and friends to explore, discover and feel the Kenya of Old, where time has mercifully stood still, and the masses have not taken over.

Now, we also offer unique accommodation, just 6 spacious comfortable cottages, a roof top suite overlooking the Wasini channel, and a residential house for visitors who prefer to do some self catering. There is also a new deep pool, a spa service, and at our bar and restaurant, a revitalized exciting menu for our guests who just want to relax and enjoy the privacy that Shimoni is special for.

Papillon Lagoon Reef


Papillon Lagoon Reef is located on Diani beach, widely considered to be Kenya’s most beautiful beach.The hotel is built in traditional Swahili style, and nestles within exotic gardens, where colobus monkeys populate ancient baobab trees.

Make the most of the beach-side location and enjoy a wide range of day time and evening activities organized by the hotel’s animation team or book a diving trip with our resident PADI dive team to explore the nearby coral reefs. The pool, with its own swim-up bar, is a great place to relax and there’s also a separate pool for children.

Indian Ocean Beach Resort


The Indian Ocean Beach Resort was opened in 1992. It is an exclusive, luxury resort built on the site of a 16th century mosque. The Kenyan coast was once ruled by the rich Sultans of Zanzibar, hence the architecture is Arabic and a lot of antics from the Sultans Palace have been used as décor.The main reception has an antique “Chandelier” given to the Sultan by British traders for landing rights.

Dining & Staff

“Spices” serves breakfast and dinner imaginatively on the first floor with added comfort of the sea breeze; lunch is available on The Ocean Terrace. The Bahari Cove is an open air, a la carte restaurant practically on the beach and serves the finest shellfish and Swahili seafood. The dhow bar on the beach, which has its own collection of multi-trunked baobabs, serves cocktails and mocktails and is a perfect place for a couple to appreciate the sundowners.
